In SafeSpaceBTB we believe in creating content in Khmer language about different topics related to vulnerable communities so people, trhouhg the art of illustration and literature can get more understanding about some issues and diverse live experiences of people, trough role models, joining tradition & modernity from Khmer culture, generating more empathy and respect in the society.

SOGIESC EDUCATION WITH PUPPETS * KH+EN *
The SOGIESC educational puppet’s video campaign consists of 10 videos + 1 animation dedicated to spreading information about SOGIESC basics and LGBTQIA+ rights through the stories of five funny characters that roleplay as different sexual orientations and gender identities, one is Lesbian, one is Gay, one is a Trans-man, one is a Trans-woman, and one is cisgender and heterosexual, at least until (spoiler alert!) discovers by learning with his friends that he may be bisexual and cisgender.
They talk about many topics as sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, sex characteristics, coming out, LGBTIQA+ and what is it, nature vs society, history and advocacy, and most importantly that no matter who you are, you’re loved, and anyone should discriminate anyone for any reason. Fun and easy to understand, these puppets are for young audiences to start their understanding of gender.
